Judging by the fact that Martinique is a French overseas region under French administration, most elevators had to be imported straight from France and other parts of mainland Europe. A similar situation also happens in the Dutch Caribbean like Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. Strange how elevator companies in Martinique import elevators from Europe rather than Brazil considering the region being located in the Caribbean where most independent Caribbean nations import Brazilian elevators. Wonder if there are actually Brazilian/Latin American elevators in Martinique. Oddly, British Virgin Islands which is under UK administration (being a British Overseas Territory) has many American elevators.

Thanks for the clarification. I was in doubt when figuring out the model of this elevator but when I checked on the old thyssenkrupp Brazil website I'm now convinced this is a Synergy as Evolution wasn't listed there.

What makes you say so even though you had never actually riden these elevators? The lack of control cabinets on the top floor, as well as the fact that the motor sound is slightly far away from the top floor PROVE that these are INDEED MiniSpace. Fyi MiniSpace DOESN'T always have to be high rise; it can also be applied in low rise buildings, with two storey being the lowest. Because service elevators are generally not meant to be used by the public, unless you have permission or a valid reason to use it (e.g. working as a staff).

@@idl3k_elev lots of very nice vintage elevators with physical buttons and very cute warm light panels, removed from the shafts as part of these regulations. they had a soul in them.

L could also referred as "lower" due to the position of the building, but in general it simply means "level".

But sadly we never get VP-L outside South Korea. Instead, we only had LVP by GoldStar Industrial Systems which was licensed by Hitachi. Mitsubishi licensed GoldStar/LG elevators are almost non-existence outside South Korea.

​@@idl3k_elevI heard that when Goldstar signed a license agreement with Mitsubishi, it made a contract so that it would only sell within soutn Korea. Hitachi signed a contract on the condition that Goldstar even allowed its own export when it signed a license.

No wonder we never get these Mitsubishi licensed products, although we once had a Mitsubishi licensed GoldStar escalator in Jakarta, Indonesia which was essentially like a rebadged Mitsubishi J-Type escalator. Strange.

I think it's possible to select any type of buttons regardless of the COP type.

Brings back the iconic airplane sounding which is sadly rare nowdays

From what I heard, that airplane-like noise is caused by the belts that get "rubbed" by the motor whilst moving.
